Board of Directors

Mark Anderson is an experienced private equity investor and corporate director who brings over 25 years of investment, governance and board leadership experience to the Gogo Board, where he is a member of the Compensation Committee and the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.

Mr. Anderson joined GTCR LLC in 2000 and is Managing Director and Head of Technology, Media and Telecommunications of the firm. He currently serves as director of Vivid Seats, CommerceHub and Jet Support Services Inc., and previously served on the boards of GTCR portfolio companies Beeline, CAMP Systems, Cision, Global Traffic Network, Land Lease Group, Landmark Aviation, Lytx and XIFIN. He was also instrumental in other GTCR investments including Skylight Financial, Solera and Transaction Network Services.

Mr. Anderson holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. He is a member of the Chicago-area Jefferson Scholars Selection Committee for the University of Virginia.

Hugh Jones is an accomplished airline and travel industry executive who brings nearly 30 years of strategic transformation, operational leadership and business growth experience to the Gogo Board, where he is a member of the Audit Committee and the Chair of the Compensation Committee.

Mr. Jones most recently served as the President of Sabre Airline Solutions, more than doubling the business through a strategic transformation focused on productivity and scalability. He previously served as President and CEO of Travelocity, where he expanded international profitability, grew the Company’s media footprint, and developed the Travelocity Partner Network loyalty programs. Earlier Sabre roles included COO of Sabre Travel Network and Airline Solutions. He began his career in the travel industry at American Airlines in 1988 in a variety of finance positions.

Mr. Jones holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University and a BS from the University of Wisconsin.

Monte Koch is an accomplished private investor and strategic advisor who brings more than 30 years of investment banking, mergers and acquisitions, and board leadership experience across the real estate, hospitality, aviation and technology sectors to the Gogo Board, where he is a member of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and the Audit Committee.

Mr. Koch has served as a director of Choice Hotels International, Inc. since 2014. He co-founded Ten-X.com, an online marketplace for residential and commercial real estate, and served as director from 2008 to 2017. From 2016 to 2020, Mr. Koch was a partner of merchant bank BDT & MSD Partners (f/k/a BDT & Company).  Earlier, he worked at Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., where he served as Global Head of Real Estate Investment Banking and Chairman of Mergers & Acquisitions for the Americas from 1999 to 2007. He served on the board of the National Business Aviation Association from 2005 to 2023 and continues as Chair Emeritus.

Mr. Koch holds a BBA from The College of William & Mary. He is a member of the Audit Committee and the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.

Michele Coleman Mayes is an accomplished legal and governance executive who brings nearly 50 years of corporate governance, regulatory and legal leadership experience to the Gogo board, where she serves as a member of the Compensation Committee and the Chair of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.

Ms. Mayes is the former VP, General Counsel and Secretary for the New York Public Library (NYPL), where she served from 2012 to 2024. Prior to that, she served as EVP and General Counsel for Allstate Insurance Company from 2007, and as SVP and General Counsel of Pitney Bowes Inc from 2003 to 2007, following senior legal roles at Colgate-Palmolive, Unisys Corporation and Burroughs Corporation. She began her career in the U.S. Department of Justice, serving as an Assistant United States Attorney in Detroit and Brooklyn from 1976 to 1982, rising to become Chief of the Civil Division in Detroit.

Ms. Mayes has served on the Board of Brookfield Wealth Solutions Ltd. (NYSE: BNT) since 2023 and has chaired the Board of the Center for Reproductive Rights since 2020. She previously served as a director of Assurant, Inc. from 2004 to 2007, where she chaired the Nominating and Governance Committee, and has been a non-director member of Exelon Corporation’s Special Litigation Committee since 2021.

Ms. Mayes received a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and a B.A. from the University of Michigan.

General Michael Minihan is a retired four-star U.S. Air Force general who brings 34 years of military leadership, aviation operations and global strategic command experience to the Gogo Board, where he is a member of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and the Chair of the Military and Governance Committee.

During his 34-year military career, General Minihan commanded at every level, culminating as Commander, Air Mobility Command. He led more than 110,000 aviators and a fleet of 1,100 aircraft executing global missions. He previously served as Deputy Commander of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, overseeing operations across a region spanning more than 40 nations and representing more than half the world’s population and trade. A pilot with over 3,400 flying hours in airlift and tanker aircraft, he also led squadrons, wings and a deployed joint task force.

In addition to the Gogo board, General Minihan serves as Senior Advisor to Reliable Robotics Corporation, Beta Technologies Inc., Radia, California Forever, Victory Venture Healthcare, Airspace Data, Elanah.AI and Coulson Aviation USA. He is a Senior Principal at Pallas Advisors, a member of the Senior Advisory Group for Paladin Capital Group and an advisor to the Center for Asia-Pacific Strategy. General Minihan is Chairman of the Candy Bomber Foundation.

General Minihan holds a BS from Auburn University.

Christopher Moore is the Chief Executive Officer of Gogo who brings nearly two decades of leadership experience in global telecommunications and IT, with deep expertise in connectivity solutions across aeronautical, maritime, land and government markets, to the Gogo Board, where he is a member of the Military and Government Committee.

Before joining Gogo, he served as President of Satcom Direct, where he started in 2012 as VP of Satcom Direct International, and became President in 2016. He began his career in product management for Westcon before taking on various commercial roles, including VP of Sales at Horizon Mobile, Vice President of Sales of Trading Apps, and Global Sales Director of Inmarsat PLC for the aeronautical, maritime, land and government markets.

Mr. Moore holds an international business degree from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia. He is a member of the Military and Governance Committee.

Oakleigh Thorne is Chair of the Gogo Board of Directors, of which he has been a member since 2003. He is an accomplished business leader with approximately 30 years of operational and financial leadership experience.

Mr. Thorne served as President and CEO of Gogo from 2018 to 2024, transitioning into his new role at the close of the Satcom Direct acquisition in December 2024. Prior to joining Gogo, he was the CEO of Thorndale Farm LLC, the Thorne family office. He has held numerous senior management positions, including CEO of eCollege.com and Commerce Clearing House (CCH).

Mr. Thorne holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance from Columbia Business School and a BA in Journalism from Boston University.

Charles Townsend is an accomplished wireless and telecommunications executive who brings more than 35 years of operational and investment leadership experience to the Gogo Board, where he is a member of the Compensation Committee.

Mr. Townsend has been a member of the Gogo Board since January 2010. He is Managing General Partner of Bluewater Wireless II, L.P. and has served as President of Pac 3, LLC since January 2004. Mr. Townsend founded Aloha Partners LP in 2001 and served as its Managing General Partner until 2008, and was Managing General Partner of Aloha Partners II from 2006 to 2014. From 1988 to 1998, he served as President and CEO of the Atlantic Cellular Company.

Mr. Townsend holds a BA in Social Psychology from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Harris Williams is a seasoned investment and asset management executive who brings over 25 years of private equity, M&A and investment banking experience to the Gogo Board, where he is Chair of the Audit Committee.

Mr. Williams has been a member of the Board of Directors since March 2010. He currently serves as Senior Managing Director of WF Investment Management LLC, a diversified asset management business. From 2005 to 2013, Mr. Williams was an executive with Ripplewood Holdings, LLC, a global private equity firm focused on control investments. Prior to 2005, Mr. Williams was in the Investment Banking division of Credit Suisse, primarily focused on mergers and acquisitions and leveraged buyouts. His areas of focus have included Technology, Media, Financial Services, Healthcare, Industrials and Hospitality. Mr. Williams served on the board of directors of 3W Power Holdings Ltd. from 2011 to 2013, where he also served as Chairman of the Audit Committee.

Mr. Williams holds a BS in Business Administration from Boston University and has an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
